Today I received following forward from one of my well educated friend. I got this kind of fwds earlier but I never expected this from such an educated person so I thought let me clear few things I know about HIV/AIDS.

FWD mail: A 10 year old boy, had eaten pineapple about 15 days back, and fell sick, from the day he had eaten. Later when he had his health check done... doctors diagnosed that he had AIDS. His parents couldn't believe it... Then the entire family under went a check-up... none of them suffered from Aids. So the doctors checked again with the boy if he had eaten out...The boy said "yes". He had pineapple that evening. Immediately a group from Mala ya Hospital went to the pineapple vendor to check. They found the pineapple seller had a cut on his finger while cutting the pineapple, his blood had spread into the fruit. When they had his blood checked...the guy was suffering from AIDS..... but he himself was NOT aware. Unfortunately the boy is suffering from it now. Please take care while you eat on the road side. Please forward this mail to your dear one.

THIS IS NONSENCE, AIDS NEVER SPREAD LIKE THIS. I know many of you know about this and also got such fawds but yet I like to share for few who may not know simple fact about the decease. I am not medically qualified person but I am working with social organization and we were trained on such issues with scientific facts so I am sharing in simple terms………anyone can correct me if I sound wrong somewhere, you comments and suggestion are always welcome. I wish we will not spread such fwds to friends but whenever we recd such things reply them with this basic information.

Fact:

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), spread only by followings

1. Sexual contact

2 Exposure to infected body fluids

3 Mother-to-child transmission (MTCT)

AIDS is an infection spread by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).This virus can not survive in outer atmosphere so there is no fact that one get infection from pock you infected pin/needle in movie hall…..yes there are chance of getting infection from syringe but only in case where syringe is wet with first person’s blood use immediately after infected person’s use.  

One more thing even if you infected by AIDS virus by real infections, it will not show in your report before 45 days of infection.
